Interim Chief Executive Officer
An accomplished development professional, Nicole brings close to 25 years of experience to the Providence Healthcare Foundation team. Her expertise includes strategy development, revenue generation planning, organizational design, board engagement and fundraising program assessment. She has significant expertise in both the non-profit and healthcare sectors and has guided staff and volunteer teams to advance philanthropy and position their organization for growth.
Nicole has provided strategic guidance across all channels of fundraising as well as governance and board development. She also has extensive experience in leading revenue generation planning in national health charities including United Way Canada, Ronald McDonald House Charities and the Make-A Wish Foundation. Her analytical skills combined with her focus on leadership and capacity building are at the heart of her work.
Originally hailing from Manitoba, Nicole holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba.

Jacqueline is happy to be part of a team that supports the work of Providence Healthcare. In her role, she focuses on organizational development and strategy. She helps drive innovation, best practice and continuous improvement; she also leads the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic plan.

Jacqueline comes to the Providence Foundation with years of experience in healthcare, post-secondary education and news media. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Alberta.

Dane brings over 5 years of experience as a fundraising manager and direct marketing specialist to the Providence Healthcare Foundation. Dane is a Certified Fundraising Executive with a diverse background in the charitable and nonprofit sector. Dane’s role at Providence is to help supporters make a difference at Providence by connecting them to exciting philanthropic opportunities, or helping them leave a legacy at Providence as part of their estate planning.
Dane graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, and is a graduate of the Seneca College Fundraising Management program.
Manager, Annual Fund
Jessica brings over ten years of experience to the Providence Healthcare Foundation. Jessica is a curator of experiences that lend to inspired giving. She loves building relationships for Providence and is a true collaboration architect. Jessica will manage all events for the Women in Philanthropy for Providence (WIPP) and Men Advancing Philanthropy for Providence (MAPP) community fundraising groups. She will also oversee the Foundation’s ‘Strength is’ merchandise, Stewardship, Staff Giving and Grateful Patient initiatives at Providence.
Prior to joining the team at Providence, Jessica worked within the developmental services field in both higher education and with community focused agencies. She has chaired numerous committees and was an online College instructor for seven years within the Educational Support program at Mohawk College.
Manager, Marketing & Communications
Cristina joins the Providence Healthcare Foundation team with over 10 years of communications and relationship-building experience through various opportunities across diversified industries, locally and internationally. From social work, to education, not-for-profit and brand agency careers, her broad skill set allows her to bring a strategic and creative lens to her work. As Manager of Marketing & Communications, Cristina is primarily responsible for building brand awareness for the Foundation through key marketing campaigns and digital strategies.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson University, a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education from Griffith University and a Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Humber College.
Angela La Gamba

Angela comes to Providence Healthcare Foundation with experience in digital marketing, social media marketing and account management in the education, training and technology sectors.
She is responsible for managing and developing the Foundation’s social media, digital and e-philanthropy initiatives to increase digital fundraising revenue and strengthen donor relationships. Angela is passionate about digital marketing and providing a helping hand to the Providence community.
Gloria has over 11 years’ experience in Events and Marketing, with an in-depth knowledge of executing both large and small-scale events. She has moved to Toronto from Dubai where she produced events for large corporations as well as the government sector.
She loves to think outside the box and believes that events are a perfect medium to create lasting impressions, helping organizations build strong bonds with its partners. Gloria is looking forward to being part of team Providence to create extraordinary events that will provide support in fulfilling the vision of the organization.
Laura has over 8 years of event and fundraising experience, having worked for various hospital foundations in Toronto and not-for-profit organizations in England and Australia.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Wilfred Laurier University and a Marketing Management Certificate from Humber College. Laura is pleased to join the Providence Healthcare Foundation team!
Annual Fund Event Assistant
Vanessa first started her career with Providence Healthcare as a volunteer over 10 years ago, now she has the opportunity to come back to the Foundation team. She comes from a strong background in customer service and events. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wilfrid Laurier University as well as a Hospitality - Event Management Diploma from Humber College.
Here at Providence, Vanessa handles the day-to-day coordination of Annual Fund events, specifically for our Women in Philanthropy for Providence (WIPP) and Men Advancing Philanthropy for Providence (MAPP) groups. She is happy to be applying her skills to create exciting and unique experiences through the events field.
Major Gifts Assistant
Mackenzie is excited to join the Foundation team as the Major Gifts Assistant. She is a graduate from Western University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Prior to joining the team, Mackenzie worked as an Associate in the Philanthropy and Alumni department at one of Ontario’s oldest and respected independent schools. Mackenzie is looking forward to using her skills and experience to support her amazing team at Providence Healthcare Foundation.
Nona Bourgeois, CFRE (on leave)
Manager, Leadership & Sponsorship Giving
Nona comes to the foundation with 10 years of experience in community, planned and major gift fundraising. At Providence Healthcare Foundation, she manages Men Advancing Philanthropy for Providence (MAPP), event sponsorship and corporate giving.
Nona graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art History and Classical Civilization. After university, she spent six months studying decorative art and design at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, UK.
Adena Goldberg (on leave)
Manager, Marketing & Communications
Adena comes to the Providence Foundation with 7 years of marketing and communications experience within the Canadian healthcare sector. She is primarily responsible for executing the Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy and building brand awareness around key campaigns. Adena brings a diverse set of skills to her work at the Foundation, having previously worked for an international healthcare startup, a medical real estate developer and a retirement home association.
Adena holds a Master of International Relations from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She has had the great fortune of traveling extensively and living in diverse jurisdictions, enabling her to bring a global lens to her work at Providence.
