Jennifer C. Stewart, CFRE
President & CEO
Jennifer has been a professional fundraiser for almost three decades, including the past 19 years as President & CEO of Providence Healthcare Foundation. In her role as CEO, she directs a clear and compelling vision for the future of Providence Healthcare Foundation. Jennifer oversees a staff of 12, leading the team to consistently meet annual fundraising goals of almost $4 million (net) each year.
She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and holds an Honorary Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University.
Motivated by the strong patients of Providence Healthcare, she grounds her work in a relentless pursuit of excellence, with a deep understanding of the power of uniting people around a common goal.

Jacqueline is happy to be part of a team that supports the work of Providence Healthcare. In her role, she focuses on organizational development and strategy. She helps drive innovation, best practice and continuous improvement; she also leads the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic plan.

Jacqueline comes to the Providence Foundation with years of experience in healthcare, post-secondary education and news media. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Alberta.
Evan is an honours graduate from University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Commerce, and marketing specialty. After spending time in the workforce, Evan returned to Humber College in the Event Management program where he was the Academic Achievement Winner for his year, and furthered his event and fundraising knowledge.
Initially joining the Foundation as temporary event support for the 2015 Silver Ball, Evan hit the ground running with the goal of continuing to enhance his event management experience, while providing a helping hand during a time when he was most needed. His skills shone through and he soon became a permanent member of the Foundation team. Evan’s positivity and can-do attitude make him an ideal fit in the Foundation! Evan currently manages Cuisine & Cuvée, MAPP Events, and WIPP Events, while providing support to Providence Golf Classic, the Silver Ball, and third-party activities.
Nona Bourgeois, CFRE
Manager, Leadership & Sponsorship Giving
Nona comes to the foundation with almost 10 years of experience in community, planned and major gift fundraising. At Providence Healthcare Foundation, she manages Men Advancing Philanthropy for Providence (MAPP), event sponsorship and corporate giving.
Nona graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art History and Classical Civilization. After university, she spent six months studying decorative art and design at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London, UK.
Dane Shumak, CFRE

Dane brings over 5 years of experience as a fundraising manager and direct marketing specialist to the Providence Healthcare Foundation. Dane is a Certified Fundraising Executive with a diverse background in the charitable and nonprofit sector. Dane’s role at Providence is to help supporters make a difference at Providence by connecting them to exciting philanthropic opportunities, or helping them leave a legacy at Providence as part of their estate planning.
Dane graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, and is a graduate of the Seneca College Fundraising Management program.
Manager, Marketing & Communications
Cristina joins the Providence Healthcare Foundation team with over 10 years of communications and relationship-building experience through various opportunities across diversified industries, locally and internationally. From social work, to education, not-for-profit and brand agency careers, her broad skill set allows her to bring a strategic and creative lens to her work. As Manager of Marketing & Communications, Cristina is primarily responsible for building brand awareness for the Foundation through key marketing campaigns and digital strategies.
She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Ryerson University, a Graduate Diploma in Primary Education from Griffith University and a Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Humber College.
Adena Goldberg (on leave)
Manager, Marketing & Communications
Adena comes to the Providence Foundation with 7 years of marketing and communications experience within the Canadian healthcare sector. She is primarily responsible for executing the Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy and building brand awareness around key campaigns. Adena brings a diverse set of skills to her work at the Foundation, having previously worked for an international healthcare startup, a medical real estate developer and a retirement home association.
Adena holds a Master of International Relations from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She has had the great fortune of traveling extensively and living in diverse jurisdictions, enabling her to bring a global lens to her work at Providence.
Annual Fund Specialist
Lisa is an honours graduate from Ryerson University and George Brown College’s Special Events Management program. She first joined Providence as a volunteer to gain non-profit fundraising experience while studying, and was fortunate to be hired on contract in the summer of 2016 to assist the events team with Cuisine & Cuvée and the Providence Golf Classic.
Upon completing her program, Lisa was welcomed back to the team as a permanent fixture to the Foundation as a result of her keen eye for detail and fresh event perspective. She’s excited to be pursuing her career as an events professional at such a prestigious healthcare facility; an incredible place to grow her expertise in fundraising and non-profit event management through their robust span of annual events.
Angela La Gamba
Digital & Social Media Specialist

Angela comes to Providence Healthcare Foundation with experience in digital marketing, social media marketing and account management in the North American education, training and technology sectors. She is primarily responsible for managing and developing the Foundation’s social media, digital and e-philanthropy initiatives to increase digital fundraising revenue and strengthen donor relationships.
Angela holds her MBA from Northeastern University’s D’Amore-McKim School of Business and her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Marylhurst University. She is passionate about digital marketing and providing a helping hand to the Providence community.
Jessica has been working in the non-profit sector for the past three years managing a mid-size fundraising department. Her passion is event planning and management, and she is excited to jump into her new role as Event Specialist for the Providence Hospital Foundation. Jessica brings a strong history of volunteer management through her various service club memberships.
Prior to joining the team at Providence, Jessica worked within the developmental services field for over ten years in both higher education and with community focused agencies. She has chaired numerous committees and currently teaches for Mohawk College as an online instructor in the Educational Support program.

Maria is happy to be joining the Providence Healthcare Foundation team with a background in events, marketing, and catering. She is an honours graduate from George Brown College’s Hospitality Operations Management program and Special Events Planning program.
Maria is passionate about the events world and positively impacting the community in every possible way. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge about not-for-profit fundraising and joining the kind, fast paced work environment that the Foundation offers.
