David Rebelo, Palliative Care Chaplain, Providence Healthcare

Working and Giving Together

Nov 13, 2019

“I give to make a positive impact on the people within our care,” says David Rebelo, Resident Chaplain for Providence Healthcare. “To give is Gospel.”

David says he’s inspired by our patients’ courage and strength. Like so many Providence staff members, David is called to support our patients through some of life’s most vulnerable moments. In their time of need, he gives them hope.

He knows that in order to have the best care experience, our patients need compassion and dignity. He adds, “they also need essential equipment and excellent onsite programming.”

This is his motivation to give.

David is part of a growing number of staff who are choosing to give through bi-weekly payroll deductions. He finds it easy and is glad to know his donations go back to Providence.

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”
-- Helen Keller

We are Providence. Together we can make a real difference.

By giving a small amount bi-weekly we can make a lasting difference in the lives of the people in our care.

Since 2011, Providence Healthcare Staff has collectively given almost $300,000 in support of Providence. Thank you.

We couldn’t do it without you. Please consider giving.

For more information on how you can give your support, please contact Dane Shumak at or visit our Staff Giving webpage here.
