Friends and family came together to curl, have fun and fundraise on March 16, 2019 at the 21st annual O’Reilly Bonspiel for Providence to raise an impressive $17,600 (net) for Providence Healthcare!
Thanks to assistance and thoughtful contributions of friends and family, along with the outstanding philanthropic spirit of our guests, the ‘Bonspiel’ reached this remarkable event milestone. Special thanks to our generous event sponsors and donors – Mark Russom, Brad Daniels, Beck Taxi, Doug Voth and Linden Grove Floral Studio – who are essential to the event’s longevity and continued success.
Our goal for this year's Bonspiel was to raise vital funds that would be put towards the purchase of Ambulatory Infusion Pumps – a much needed piece of equipment for Providence Healthcare’s Palliative Care Program. Ambulatory Infusion Pumps are small and lightweight wireless medication pumps geared with advanced software that ensures accurate, safe and monitored medication dosage. These important devices will accurately track and record patient’s medication, which decreases the risk of error, and allows patients to live with dignity and comfort.
In an outstanding effort to reach this goal, Mark Russom helped create the 'Milkman’s Match' initiative. This impressive challenge called upon friends, family, and curlers to donate their funds to the Ambulatory Infusion Pumps and the total amount raised by guests, Mark Russom would match it. Thanks to the kind gifts from guests and the match of Mark Russom, the 'Milkman Match', was a huge success and will be forever appreciated by Providence Healthcare’s Palliative Care Program.
The 21st annual O’Reilly Bonspiel was another massive success. It was an exciting event that brought together a group of incredible people who came together to raise money for Providence Healthcare and had a fun time doing it. You can find our event photos here.
