As Canadian Golf Magazine has said: “A round at Coppinwood shouldn’t be missed.”
The Ken and Nancy Shaw Providence Golf Classic (PGC), presented by EllisDon, is back at Coppinwood Golf Club near Uxbridge, Ontario. We are delighted that Coppinwood is our five-year PGC partner, donating the green fees each year to help ensure we raise significant funds for Providence Healthcare. Not only does that give Providence Healthcare Foundation stability for the future, but it means our donors can count on a consistently great time every year on one of Ontario’s most beautiful courses. “No traffic, no housing, no distractions – just golf, the way it was meant to be.”
“We are dedicated to giving back to the community through partnership and participation,” says Kyle Stewart, General Manager at Coppinwood. “We love Providence Healthcare Foundation’s annual event because it truly builds awareness, encourages participation, and brings the community together for a great cause. Providence is a world-class organization that cares for people in the community with compassion and dignity.”
Designed by one of the world’s most highly regarded golf course architects, Tom Fazio, Coppinwood provides challenges and enjoyment to golfers of all skill levels, from novice to expert. Spread over 357 acres of rolling terrain with stunning elevation changes, the par 72, 18-hole layout features five sets of tees that give the golfer a choice to make on almost every tee shot. Reviewers claim it is one of Fazio’s best courses.
Providence Healthcare is a leader in providing rehabilitation, palliative care, long-term care and community outreach in Toronto. On August 1, 2017, Providence Healthcare joined St. Joseph’s Health Centre and St. Michael’s Hospital to operate under one corporate entity.
