Over the past few weeks, Precise ParkLink has been onsite at Providence installing new equipment at the parking entry and exit gates. The new 'pay-on-foot' system took effect December 1. Patients and visitors press a button at the entrance terminal to retrieve a ticket before entering the lot.
"The setup is similar to what other businesses use around the city," says Craig MacDonald, Building Services and Security Manager. "Visitors will take a ticket upon entry and pay for parking at one of our five pay stations before exiting the building."
With the new system, visitors can make payments by credit card, debit or cash at any of our five pay stations (Providence Hospital main entrance, as well as the entrances to the Outpatient Clinics, D Wing, the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence and at the parking lot exit gate) before exiting the property. We offer 1/2 hour, hourly and daily rates as well as seven day, 14 day and 28 day passes. Free parking for the first 29 minutes is also in effect for dropping-off/picking-up.
We continue to offer free parking to families and visitors on Christmas, Boxing Day, Easter Sunday, Mother's Day and Father's Day.
In case of lost tickets, motorists will be required to pay the maximum rate for the full day.
