Our cafeteria, Seasons Café, is being upgraded to better serve our staff, residents, patients and visitors. This revitalization project is made possible thanks to a generous donation from our Women in Philanthropy for Providence (WIPP) group. Work begins Monday, January 18 and is expected to be completed by early spring.
The project comes as a result of staff as well as patients and families feedback requesting more access to the space off-hours and a better environment. The cafeteria is being re-designed for both improved ambiance and functionality. Stylistic features include exposed ceilings, updated furniture and lighting. There will be a multi-purpose room that can be booked for private events and used as a quiet lounge at other times. The updated space will be more accessible for wheelchairs, will include televisions on various walls and will be open for staff, patients, residents and families to access 24 hours a day.
The work on the space is being done by Providence's own Building Services team. Cafeteria users will still be able to access the food service area from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for lunch options.
