Providence Healthcare Foundation became one of the few Canadian charities to achieve prestigious accreditation from Imagine Canada’s Standards Program on October 31, 2017.

The Standards Program awards accreditation to Canadian charities and nonprofits that demonstrate excellence in five areas of operations: board governance; financial accountability and transparency; fundraising; staff management; and volunteer involvement.

Providence Healthcare Foundation’s policies and procedures were rigorously evaluated by a transparent peer-review process and were found to be compliant with the Standards Program. Accreditation is a testimony to our Foundation’s accountability, transparency and good governance. With over 85,000 charities in Canada, fewer than 3% have been recognized with this gold standard for operational excellence.

Note: Providence Healthcare Foundation has not paid any board member or companies in which a board member is an owner, partner or senior manager for any products and services.
