COVID-19 outbreak on D3 palliative care. More details on our outbreak information page. >>
Providence Healthcare’s legacy dates back to 1857 when the Sisters of Joseph of Toronto founded the original House of Providence in downtown Toronto as a refuge for the elderly and the homeless. Today, Providence is a leader in providing rehabilitation, palliative care, long-term care and community programs. Providence Hospital offers inpatient and outpatient programs to over 5,000 individuals each year; our Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence provides long-term care to 288 residents; and our community and caregiver support programs reach out to thousands in the broader community through services such as our Adult Day Program.
